Panerai PAM01039 Submersible Luna Rossa Carbotech GMT Limited Edition of Only 1036 Pieces. Unidirectional rotating carbotech bezel with graduated scale. Dark grey sail dial with luminous dot hour markers. Blackened steel hands, partially skeletonized with luminous tips. Small seconds subdial at 9 with red steel hand. Fitted on a Black Vulcanized rubber strap with tongue buckle.

The 47mm cushion-shaped solid two-body case, straight lugs, and unidirectional rotating bezel, are matte Carbotech finish. The dial is a very unique Dark Grey Sail Dial with applied luminous pip indices, and luminous skeletonized black sword hands. There is a date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position, and a subsidiary running small seconds dial with indices and a red luminous propeller indicator hand at 9 o'clock. It has a 72-hour, 3-day power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 300 meters/1000 feet.

This Panerai Submersible Luna Rossa Carbotech GMT has a mechanical automatic self-winding Panerai caliber P.9010 movement, which is executed entirely by Panerai. It's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's constructed with twin barrels, 31 jewels, 199 components, 13¾ lignes, a monometallic Glucydur balance that's adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism, and 5 positions, and an Incabloc anti-shock device. It has an index regulator, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).

The PAM01039 is a 47mm Luminor Submersible with a case made of the highly advanced material, Carbotech. This lightweight carbon fiber material is also used to make the AC75 Monohull, which is a picture that is engraved into the titanium case back on the Luna Rossa Challenger alongside the profile of the majestic yacht.

Continuing the marriage of the Luna Rossa and Panerai, the dial of the PAM1039 features pieces of the actual sails from the Luna Rossa attached to it. You can easily see the texture and weave pattern of the state of the art sales which mirror the innovation that Panerai brings to the market. The indexes are done in white so they are legible even in the deepest of waters or darkest of nights. The sub second hand at the 9 o’clock position as well as the GMT hand are done in a red accent color which contrasts nicely with the deep black matte finish of the watch. At the top of the dial you see the words “Panerai Submersible” and at the bottom you have 3 lines of text which reads “Luna Rossa, Challenger, and 36th America’s Cup.
