Unique, museum-quality, magnificent savonette from around 1911 in an 18-karat gold savonette case with Vacheron Constantin bridge movement. Deep engraving with figurative, almost three-dimensional depiction, perfect goldsmith work with florally decorated frame. Napoleon i. on the battlefield at Großgörschen near Leipzig, where the French defeated the allied Prussians and Russians with heavy losses on May 2, 1813.

The model was the painting "The Defenders of the Eagle" by r. Desvarreux (1876 - 1961), painted in 1905.
