Growing up in Australia in the 1980s and 90s, there wasn’t much of a watch scene. There was only one authorized retailer of high-end watches in the city I lived in, and the most prestigious brand they stocked was Rolex. But then in the early 2000s, I found my grandfather’s old Omega Seamaster Automatic from the 1960s. He passed away when I was very young, so I never really got to know him. This watch was my way of connecting with him. Before I knew it, I was hooked. I wanted to know everything I could about watches, especially older models. Like most people, my search for knowledge began online, on sites like Chrono24. I have been learning and writing about watches for over a decade now. I love discovering the stories behind these watches and understanding the purpose for which they were created.
